If this ain't copywriting, what is?!

Bob Bly asks if a copywriter can be "too enthusiastic." In my comment, I recalled John Caples's all time classic ad:

"They Laughed When I Sat Down at the Piano"

I'm not sure if it's the greatest ad ever written. I haven't read every ad ever written....

(Disclosure: I changed the title of this post. It originally said "If this ain't advertising...." Then I realized I should have written "copywriting" instead. Hope this satisfies the Transparency authorities. I have already gotten blacklisted for saying there was nothing wrong with a simulated blog.)
