In a earlier post I wrote about The Hebrew Kid and the Apache Maiden, by Robert Avrech. The book has won awards and gotten great reviews. But, sure as shooting, the most fascinating review is by Dr. David A. Yeagley, direct descendent of the Comanche warrior Bad Eagle (1839-1906).
Yeagley brings his own tradition--and his interest in Judaism--into a thoughtful analysis of some of the issues raised by the book. His review of The Hebrew Kid and the Apache Maiden is on his forum page, and he welcomes comments.
It is a good day to write.
