But what they didn't realize was that most of their emails were never delivered to their customers.

It's almost impossible to run an email marketing campaign without a good service provider. Not to mention that your email address, domain names, websites, and company can get blacklisted. When that happens there's almost nothing that will boost your delivery rates.Courtney Jameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12951590520938710622noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11035292.post-23225250252447618812012-06-02T22:48:32.196-04:002012-06-02T22:48:32.196-04:00Great Song... (The link in my post on his "Writer's Coach" book goes to your interview.)
I never said mind maps weren't good. (By the way, that also links to your blog.) I just personally don't get them. I'm verbal not visual. I even print out directions from Google without the map!
I only recently discovered Don Murray. Truly great (wish I had known him!). I'm also a fan of Roy Peter Clark. Thanks for the suggestion of bringing in more of their ideas. I should really do that. Most of my blog deals with copywriting and direct marketing. But lately, I've been focusing more on my "first love"—writing and editing.
To quote another wise man: "Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. There were so many moments of pure perfection in its stories.

As a mind mapping evangelist, I read your comments about mind mapping with great interest. I can see your point, but, on balance, I feel that its positives outweigh its negatives...especially for organizing projects before writing.

My next task is to explore more of your blog, to see what you have to about Don Murray, one of Jack Hart and Roy Peter Clark's Poynter Institute colleagues.

Thanks, again, for sharing the Thurber references.Roger C. It is easy to see why in this day of startling graphics one may become convinced that words will decrease in importance as a means to motivate. But one needs only to evaluate how these graphics are being used. In too many instances they detractfrom the prime selling message that must be communicated. Why is this happening? First off, effective advertising is always the biproduct of words and images. Unfortunately many people graduating with MA's in marketing have been greatly impressed by graphics alone. I have little doubt that had they been properly schooled in the works of some of the current and past direct marketing masters there would not be a tendency to reduce their role in what we are seeing in print and TV.Bob Gainesnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11035292.post-68566949621040286372011-12-20T22:15:23.979-05:002011-12-20T22:15:23.979-05:00Et tu Oxford?Et tu Oxford?

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11035292.post-21317727541779598422011-12-13T09:42:26.345-05:002011-12-13T09:42:26.345-05:00If you didn't update yet (12/13), don't.
